GAF

GAF = Graphic Algebraic Functions

This is the name of the course Mommy took as a Senior in highschool (and got a C- in) while others (like my genius Daddy) were taking things like Calculus (and probably getting A's, well that's fine, Mommy had better things to do in highschool, like her hair).

Daddy was nice enough to point out to Mommy that her math in the last entry was grossly incorrect. 1/19th of 33 is not the $6 and change she said it was. He laughed at her, yet he could not come up with the correct figure either. So pshaw. Whatever, Daddy. So for those of you (like Uncle Dan, and probably Uncle J) who had a good snicker at Mommy's faulty math, she just wants to tell you it was a JOKE. She was joking, really. Any idiot knows that $6 and change is not 1/19th of 33...really. Any idiot.

Lilly

C Is For Cookie...and Cash

We got to go to the races again last weekend for Memorial Day. This makes Anna the youngest ever in our family to attend the races and bet on the ponies. And bet she did! We won $33 between the two of us. That is BANK when you are 19 months and 1 month old. I figure we should share it proportionately to our ages. Thus, I get $26.73 and Anna gets $6.27 for her piggy bank. Mommy says it doesn't work that way, we share it in half. Well, fine. I don't make the big decisions around here that's what Mommy gets paid for. I'll tell you one thing Anna can't share with me at all right now and that is this cookie that Uncle Dan gave me that is larger than my head. Uncle Dan is forever giving me junk food. I think he wants to make me fat. Mommy wishes she had some of my resolve when it comes to refusing food. She still can't shake the last 10 lbs of Anna fat. That is probably because she consumes about 1,000 calories a day in sweet tea alone not to mention the cookies SHE eats. If she's not careful she's going to have to go buy some real fat clothes and she has better things to spend HER cash on than fat clothes. For instance, clothes and shoes and toys for me. And okay, Anna too. Mommy is doing pretty good (she thinks) at making us even, as even as we can be. She tries anyway, and that's good enough for me!

Lilly

Anna Anna Bo-Banna Banana Nana...

You know the rest! Sing it! Sing it in your head and good luck getting it out of your head!
We have had so much going on, so many things to tell you about (like our new ride!) but Mommy has a very fussy Anna in her arms right now and is pecking the keys one at a time which is annoying and takes forever. So updates later.

Lilly

Anna, Anna Who?

Ha ha ha, just joking! I LOVE Anna! I play pat-a-cake with her, I kiss her, I hug her and I let her dance with me and Daddy!
Anna is so BIG! She weighs more now than I did when I was 2 1/2 months old (that is just over 10 lbs). She sleeps through the night, all night, every night which makes for a happy and well-rested Mommy. She smiles all the time. I don't have any of her smiley pictures downloaded so I'll get those up this week. She is precious and sweet, just like someone else we all know and love. Who's name is Lilly. Who looks like me.
Love,
Lilly

I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday. I am having fun, for sure!

Regression...

Regressing is what toddlers do when Mommys and Daddys bring home babies without prior approval from the Princess in Residence. Or, what Daddys do when we go to visit the Miami campus and he takes us into his stinky old fraternity house. Don't let that picture fool you, the couch wasn't as clean as it looks. And I think I was sitting on a cigarette butt.
Gotta go, the new Princess in Residence is screaming her head off.
Love,
Lilly

Some More Pix 4U!

It's 3:50 AM and Mommy is feeding Anna. What a multi-tasking Queen! I went to sleep at 12:00 after staying up and watching "Desperate Housewives" on the DVR with Mommy. I fed her some imagination food from my kitchen, too. My throat hurts and I'm losing my voice. I went to sleep in Mommy and Daddy's bed until 2:30 and then Daddy took me upstairs where I might still be sleeping. Please good Lord in Heaven let me keep sleeping...
Here are some more pics of my sister Anna, who just spit up on Mommy. So much for multitasking.

Like Drinkin' From a Fire Hose...

It was brought to Mommy's attention today that she is behind on my blog updates. She is at least a week behind, and 286 pictures behind. So where to start? How about with some of my cuter recent pictures? Not easy to narrow it down because I'm just soooo stinkin' cute anyway but these are some fun pictures that will probably elicit an "I can't believe you let her do that!" email or two (we got a few of those after my Kitty Soup video post). Bring it on! I am sure to do many, many things that will preclude Mommy and Daddy from the Parent Of the Year Awards but this is more fun.
Anyway Daddy dug up the Serpent Burial Mound in the front yard and planted grass seed so now the neighbors will have to find something else to complain about - which they probably will since they are all old and retired and have nothing better to do than stare at our house and figure out what's wrong with it and let Daddy know how to fix it. That's fine since we have so much free time and money these days, eh? If you ever think our house is bad all you have to do is look at the Crazy Doctor's house across the street for reassurance that ours is like a luxurious estate in comparison. Maybe Mommy will be sneaky and take some pictures to show you what a DUMP it is but she's afraid of the Crazy Doctor and doesn't want to make him mad.
We are all doing very well these days. I have learned how to say, "NO!" with some conviction and I use it very liberally. I am also a little jealous of Anna. Daddy was on vacation for 2 weeks and I got lots and lots of Daddy attention but yesterday he went back to work and I decided to protest by getting myself sick again and waking up FOUR times last night (at 12:45, 1:30, 3:30 and 4:45) while Anna slept the whole night. In fact, it is 10:24 PM and I JUST WOKE UP AGAIN! So THAT'S why Mommy is behind on the blog...
Okay, well seriously, I'm seriously awake and crying. My throat hurts, my ears hurt, etc which is about right since I was just sick 4 weeks ago and I get sick once a month or so.
On that note, Anna is doing great! She weighs 10 lbs which is 80%-ile for weight. She smiles but her smiles are like trying to catch a winged creature of the forest, the picture below is the best Mommy can do so far.
Mommy will try to stay more up to speed. No promises. It's a mad house over here!
Love,
Poor, Sick, Screaming and Crying Lilly

Feliz Cinco De Mayo - Muy Bien

We went to La Tarasca on May 7 to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Anna's heritage. That is a joke. Anna is as Mexican as my Uncle Mark. To tell you the truth, I think somewhere some Hispanic genes snuck in there. Daddy thinks so too. Mommy told Daddy that Anna might actually be the Pool Boy's daughter, he'll only know if he conducts genetic testing. But we don't have a pool. Actually we do, but it's plastic and inflatable and doesn't require regular maintenance by a Pool Boy. This was a fun trip because we actually got to eat an entire meal without me throwing a hissy-fit, Mommy got to enjoy 3 or 4 margaritas (she lost count in there) and Daddy got to drive home while me and Mommy sang our version of La Bamba.
Anyway here I am digging on my chips and salsa. Si. Muy bien.

And here I am eating my cheese quesadilla and spanish rice. It needed some salt...

And it needed some more salt...

And you can't have salt without pepper. That's like the Captain without Tenille. "Lost" without the mystery. It just doesn't make sense. So, more pepper...

And here's what Anna did the whole time we were at the restaurant...

...and this is about the time we got to leaving.
Feliz Cinco de Mayo. A week late...
Love,
Lilly

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day, Mommy! We went to an art festival yesterday and they had a craft booth set up for kids to make their Mommies presents! These were my first real art projects! I made Mommy a sparkle treasure box (above) and gave it to her this morning with one quarter, two dimes and a penny inside. When Mommy shook the box she got all excited because she thought there was jewelry or some other goodie inside! Surprise! Silly Mommy you should know better than that... Now don't go spending your .46 cents in one place. Actually, give it back to me, it's mine...
I also made Mommy a Mother's Day card! This was Mommy's most favorite present of all.

I really got into this. It was a lot of fun.

Happy Mother's Day, Mommy! I love you! From your baby who made you a Mama in the first place...
Love,
Lilly
Dear Mommy, I made you a poopy diaper. I also spit up down your shirt. Hope you like it.
Happy Mother's Day!
Love,
Anna
Dear Babi, Grandma, Grammy and all the other Mommies who love us: Thank you for being such great Mommies! We love you!
xoxo
Love,
Lilly and Anna

My Loot!

Sometimes Mommy scores so huge at a sale that she has to share it with the whole world, or, all 50 of my regular readers. So get ready for this. Mommy went garage saling with a friend today (who incidentally, is the Garage Sale Queen, Mommy learned a lot from her) and got SO MUCH LOOT (for ME! all for ME! and for Anna too, I guess, when she's older, but for now, for ME) and here's the breakdown:
A sandbox
A giant 300 pc bucket of Mega Bloks
A Black & Decker tool bench with real pretend tools (you like that, don't you, Grampa?)
A swim vest for my trip to the lake this summer (you like that, too, don't you, Grampa?)
A book on how to "Stop the Daily Battle of Wills and Raise a Secure and Well-Behaved One- to Four-Year-Old" (oh, that is actually for Mommy)
16 new outfits including a pair of designer jeans, 5 outfits from last season at Gymboree (WITH tags!), the cutest winter coat you've ever seen, 4 jumpers, 4 pairs of tights, a swimsuit, and TWO bags of playclothes
11 new pairs of shoes INCLUDING 3 pairs of REAL Crocs, 3 pairs of never even worn shoes from Gymboree (yep, tags attached!), 2 pairs of sandals from Old Navy (with tags attached) AND DRUM ROLL PLEASE...
*duh*duh*duh*
A real pair of Uggs. That's right. Uggs. For me.
Grand Total = $100
BAM!

Yep, real Crocs...
My new tool bench...

Oooh, look at these, a brand new pair of "Nina Kids" jellies with tags that have a $25 price tag.

I spent the afternoon showing Anna how to use her play gym. She's an attentive audience. She's very patient with me, I love her. Today is her 1 month birthday. Happy Birthday Baby Anna!

Big Sister Lilly

Happy 4 Week Almost 1 Month Birthday Anna!

Happy 4 Week Almost 1 Month Birthday, Anna!

Four weeks ago today, Anna came into my life! I'm glad she's here, she's fun. And loud. And stinky. Here we are after our baths tonight. Anna is crying because I took her paci.

And here I am kissing her telling her it's okay, she can have it back if she pays me.

And here she is asking Daddy for money... "Gimme money, Daddy!"

Love,
Lilly
