Waiting on Pictures...

Merry Christmas!  This year Santa decided to do things a little different...since the girls get FOUR Christmases this year Santa decided to do one really big gift (literally) and just a few smaller ones for each of us.  This picture does our big gift no justice, as my head only comes to the top of the fourth floor!

It was a magical morning.  I got a new camera, and Mommy and Daddy took the memory card from their camera to put into mine.  I proceeded to take about 1000 pictures.  Now, ask where the camera is?  GOOD QUESTION!  It holds all of our Christmas morning photos, and we're thinking it might turn up sometime around Valentine's Day.
Round 1 of Christmas photos is shot, Round 2 on its way in one short week!

Waiting on Santa...

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, however fun it is to pull your ornaments off and slam them on the floor so they shatter...

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, just put some presents underneath so I can open them.
All I want for Christmas is my own damn toys.

 Sheeeeezzzz!!!

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout Anna or I will take all your damn toys.  Oh wait, I already do that.  Santa Baby, buy Anna some extra toys for me this year, wouldja?
 Sheeezzzz!!!
Santa comes down the chimney!  The CHIMNEY! CHIMNEY!!!
 You better not cry...
Go ahead and ham it up for the camera.  Mmmm, ham!  Like Christmas ham, yo!  Honeybaked!  Honey Ham Uncle Dan!  That's for you, brotha!
'Twas the night before Christmas in the M------ house, Santa Claus is comin' to town early!  We get to celebrate our first of our four grand celebrations TOMORROW!!!  And we are going to go CRA.ZAY!
We'll post some pictures "after" Santa.  Merry Christmas, y'all!

Princess, Princess, Princess, Etc.

Mommy took us to another Princess tea a couple weeks ago, you know, we can't get enough of these dresses.  What a SMART investment, Mommy!  This Princess tea was fun, we got to decorate cookies, eat cupcakes, make crowns, and MOST IMPORTANTLY -
We got to hang with Cinde-grella!  Isn't she beautiful!  Kinda looks like me, no?
Num num num num num, cupcakes...
This is our friend Rachel and one of her 4 kids under the age of 4.  That's right, I said, 4 KIDS. UNDER. THE. AGE. OF 4.  Sheer craziness.
Oh my God, look at my ears, look how cute I am.

What a fun Mommy/Daughter day together.  Okay, so by now you all get it.  I love Princesses, and Anna loves food.  We'll try to venture into newsworthy blogging territory next post.
Love,
Lilly and Anna
P.S. Good luck on your final tomorrow, Teti.  Love you.

Hey! Where Did Thanksgiving Go?!

Here are some Thanksgiving pictures.  Yeah, yeah, yeah...at least we're still in the holiday "season"!
We are so excited for Christmas!  Christmas!  CHRISTMAS!!!!

While Mommy cooked, Teti painted our toenails.  Anna still had her tights on, as you can see, don't worry, we took them off and painted our toesies and our fingies.  Then, we ate all the fingernail polish off our fingies.  Then, Daddy said fingernail polish is "toxic" and we shouldn't wear it.  Pshaw!  Toxic.  Puh-leeeese, Daddy!  If fingernail polish was toxic Mommy would be dead.
Mommy cooked her first big Thanksgiving dinner.  Don't you hate the color of the dining room?  What color should Mommy paint it?  Will someone with some eye for style please come to the house and fix that room (TETI)!?!?  Right now you feel like you're a plant in a giant terra cotta pot when you're in that room.
This is pretty much how Uncle Matt spent Thanksgiving.  Gambling online.  This picture must have been taken after a good play, because he looks happy.
Here is the start of Mommy's spread.  We got nekkid for dinner, naturally.  Look at my hands over my eyes.
 Here was our menu:
Butternut Squash soup
Wheat Berry Salad
Alton Brown's No Fail Turkey (cooked in a bag, for extra protection)
Sandra Lee's Haricots Verts
Cranberry Glazed Carrots
Stuffing
Duda's Sweet Potato Casserole
Paula Deen's Cranberry Compote (because it's just not a meal without something by Paula!)
Rolls (the only thing Mommy screwed up)
And two nekkid babies...

And one very classily dressed Daddy.

And, a nap!
In February Mommy will post our Christmas pictures!
Ha!  Joking, joking.
Love,
Lilly and Anna
P.S. you done shoppin yet?!?!

We Like Pretty Sparkly Things. In Excess.

Hello?  Joe, Joe Daddy?  Who do I look exactly like?!  Just slap some blonde hair and earrings on my Daddy and here's his picture at 3 years old!  Ha ha ha!  As you can see, we get much use out of these Princess Dresses Mommy bought us.  In fact, if they cost $50 (ahem, cough cough) and we have worn them 3,250 times that is equivalent to 1.5 cents per wear which at the current rate of inflation from the time that Mommy bought the dresses to now the "actual" cost of wear is .75 cents which is 400% cheaper than the cheapest t-shirt we own which we wear an average of 30 times so in a nutshell, Mommy actually SAVED money by buying us these dresses because they are cheaper than free when you think about how much we wear them and how much regular clothing in it's place would have cost.  You can thank her later, Daddy.

And, Daddy, since we're girls and you can clearly see we are so enamored with shiny, pretty things, Mommy suggests you start buying her nice jewelry now.  In the current economy the bulk vs. wholesale cost of platinum and gold is exponentially lower than it will be in 20 years when we will be asking you to buy it for us, but you can go ahead and buy it for Mommy now, and she can pass it along to us in 20 years at which point you can buy her new stuff to replace the empty slots in her jewelry box.  You will actually save more money by doing this, because if you were to invest the same money in a savings account earning a paltry 1% interest rate compounded in 20 years it will still be less than the value of jewelry you buy her now that she can pass along to us which will be valued at = Priceless.  Because it came from you.  Hurry up, Daddy, you are losing money just reading this!

This message brought to you, Daddy, by Santa's bejeweled little elves.

Lilly and Anna

Work To Do!

Daddy's got lots of work to do this month, mainly at work.  This is his last rotation on PICU, which is by far one of the hardest, saddest jobs EVER.  Mommy doesn't know how Daddy does it, or how the people who do it for a living do it, but we thank God for people like them.  Mommy gets emotional just thinking about it.  We know it's hard Daddy, but it's sooooo worth it because what you do makes a big difference and can change a kid's life for the better forever.  Mommy on the other hand, she sells stuff.  Meh.  We can't all be in it for the love.
When you are home, Daddy, we'll take care of you and help you as much as we can.
We know this is a busy month for EVERYbody - but what a GREAT month it is!  Santa is going to come this month!  Santa is going to come to our house on December 15 because that is the only day Daddy has off from work until December 29.  Mommy and Daddy think it's really important that we have Christmas as a family at our house.  I mean, Santa can't keep up with as many places as we have to go.  We have it so good, we get FOUR CHRISTMASES EVERY YEAR!  Can you imagine?!?!  It is so, so awesome and we are so, so excited!!
Mommy and Daddy did take out all the Christmas decorations including our Nativity scene.  Mommy tried to tell us the story about Baby Jesus by staging it with the Nativity.  Well, I am 3 and Anna is 1.  We don't quite "get" it yet.  But I did ask Mommy if Santa brings Baby Jesus presents.  And based on the fact he's quite nekkid in the manger, I suggested he could use a Blanket.  Mommy said she'd send Santa a note.
Tomorrow is Papa's birthday.  He's 86!  Papa is one of the most special people in our lives, ever.  Mommy loves him so much.  When you read this, give him a silent shout out.  Send him some good karma.  He's living his birthday up at his favorite place - the casino!  Send him some luck!  If he gets lucky, we all get lucky!  Tee hee!

Lilly and Anna

Happy Belated!

Happy belated birthday, to "that Man"!  I don't know what "belated" means, and I don't know what your name is, but I know I love you and I hope you had a happy day!

The $19 Experiment

Okay, Mommy hasn't downloaded pictures in over a month!  She wishes she had the camera card, she would do it right now but she's at work and she doesn't have it.  She feels pretty bad that we went through practically the whole month of November without nary a new picture, so she thought she would find some cute one we haven't used before, post it and update everyone on how we are doing.
We hope you had a happy Thanksgiving.  We did!  We had so many "friends" for Thanksgiving and we had a blast!  Mommy made the whole Thanksgiving dinner by herself, for the first time (though Duda did whip up the sweet potatoes - his Thanksgiving specialty).  It was very good if she does say so herself, though of course we did not eat it.  Actually wait, I think Anna ate some.  I had chicken nuggets.
Daddy got Thursday and Friday off and then went back to working nights on Saturday.  Boo, nights!  Sunday we went to church and then to Costco for a little shopping and lunch.  After that Mommy was going to take us to Target to buy Christmas ornaments but we passed the movie theater and Mommy thought, "Hmmmm..."  She is either really brave, or really stupid.  Could have gone either way!  She figured, why not?  We needed to be out of the house so Daddy could get some sleep and secretly she kind of wanted to see Tangled anyway.  So we went to the ticket booth, bought us some tickets, picked us up some 3D glasses and went to see the movie.  And, we did FANTASTIC!  Anna only had one "tAnnatrum" and it wasn't even that bad of a meltdown and for a good half an hour we sat side by side in our chair with our 3D glasses on fully engrossed in the movie and it was adorable!  Mommy is SuperMommy!  Mommy was quite proud of herself for pulling off such a feat!  In fact, she's a little cocky.  Don't worry, we'll set her straight.  Show her who's really boss.
Love,
Lilly and Anna

Do Girls Have A "Pee-Nus"?

Mommy hasn't downloaded new pictures in ages, sorry.  I know it's been a while since we updated, too, so we thought we'd get on here because I said something HILARIOUS last night and Mommy wanted to share.  You can probably guess by the title of the post,  no?  Somehow, I picked up a new word.  Yep.  Penis.  There is just something so funny about a 3 year old saying that.  Last night I said to Mommy and Babi, "Do I have a pee-nus?"  Mommy tried as hard as she could to keep a straight face and said, "No, Lilly, you have a vagina."  "Oh," I said, "ba-ginas,  Lilly, Anna and Mommy all have ba-ginas.  Does Daddy have a pee-nus?"  Mommy said, "Not anymore, Lilly."
So now that I've learned all about my anatomy, let me tell you a couple other funny things I said over the weekend.
Daddy had football on TV - all. day. long. on Saturday.  I got fed up and finally said, "Daddy, do Princesses watch football?"  Daddy seized the opportunity and said, "Yes!  Yes!  They do!"  I said, "No, I don't think they do.  I want to watch GIRL tv."
Heh heh heh.  I am so funny.
We went for our check ups last week at the Dr.  We are both 50% for weight!  I'm 75% for height and Anna is 50% all around.  We are both in good health, and doing great!  What more could Mommy ask for?
Love,
Lilly and Anna

Happy Birthday, Mr. Uncle Dan!

Dear Mr. Uncle Dan (this is what I called you tonight, when Mommy got off the phone with you, I said, "Was it Mr. Uncle Dan's burdday today?")  Happy birthday.  Look how pretty Teti and I look in the picture above.  Aren't we gorgeous?  Not one of the best pictures of you and Anna, though.  I think Anna is crying, reaching for a candy bar, or a soda, because she knows that if she works you you will give those to her.
Okay, this one's a little better.  Mr. Uncle Dan, I love that we both have blond hair and blue eyes in a family of darkies.  My Daddy's side has pretty colored eyes but they all have dark hair (or, in Grampa's case, his is gray).  Not us!  We are the sole blondies.  You're the lone blond sheep no longer.  So that means you can't complain about genetics anymore, and it confirms it, those recessive genes were in there somewhere, or they never would have reached me.  You really are a B------!
Mr. Uncle Dan, this picture makes Mommy laugh, because it is so YOU.  We were on a boat, on a beautiful day, in the middle of a beautiful ocean, and still you look upon us all with disdain.  And Mommy is still laughing because you really know how to have fun sometimes.  Ha ha ha, ha ha ha.  Seriously, Mommy loves you and for your birthday this year, Mommy is so excited to say that she is already planning her trip to visit you down in N'Orleans for the FIRST TIME in the five or so years you've lived there (has it been 5 years yet?)  I hope Daddy can go too, so Babi and Duda can watch me and Anna for the weekend.  So look into those Carnival dates!  Mommy wants to eat King Cake, walk in the parade, and throw some beads!  And eat food!  Delicious, marvelous, wonderful Cajun food!  And Mommy wants to finally meet Melanie, and have Mr. Ryan take her on a tour of the city, and maybe get her fortune told by a Voodoo Witch!  You will have so much fun with Mommy, that it's a shame she told me and Anna we are never allowed to visit you in N'Orleans without her until we are in college, or maybe if we misbehave as teenagers she will ship us down with a one way ticket.
We love you, Uncle Dan, have a Happy, Happy Day!!
Love,
Mommy, Daddy, Lilly and Anna

Happy Birthday to My Friend, Teti!

Dear Teti, I love you and your goozie, even though I said it was too big for the pool.  And I love your boobies, too, and hope I get boobies like yours and not Mommy's.  Heh heh heh...
Dear Teti, I hope you teach me how to make music and sing.  I love to sing!  I sing all the time around the house!  I also play with Sissy's Barbie and Ken and have them make out.  And, you might think that's a joke to be funny on the blog, but the truth is - it's the truth.  I'm a year and a half old, and I know how dollies should make out.  Mwwwah!
Happy (day late) birthday to you!  Happy (day late) birthday to you!  Happy (day late) birthday Teti with the goozie and the booooobiesssss...happy (day late) birthday to yeeeeeeewwwwww!
Love,
Your friend,
Lilly and Anna
P.S.  In case you wonder what I mean by "friend" it is what I call everyone in my family.  My friend, Mommy.  My friend, Daddy.  My friends, Babi and Duda.  My friend, Grandma.  My friends, Grammy and Grampa.  Etc.  It's deliciously cute!

Happy Halloween Part 57

Sheeeezzzzz!!!  I love sticking my neck out and posing for the camera.  And daggone, I'm CUTE.
Mommy was really excited about carving pumpkins this year.  She went out and bought one of those pumpkin carving kits and let us pick out what we wanted to carve on our pumpkins (kitties, naturally) and we were interested for about a nanosecond.
Do you like my outfit?  Black tights and nothing else?
Sheeezzzz!  I spent about 30 minutes at the sink rinsing and playing with the pumpkin seeds.  See that little friend I'm holding?  It's a MUNCHICHI!  Mommy looooved Munchichi's when she was little!  Everything's gone retro, yo!
Oh, look!  I put some clothes on!  And Daddy is now carving pumpkins by himself.
Mommy tried to take an artsy fartsy picture of the pumpkin with the camera.  Meh.
And on an entirely separate day, we went trick or treating for about the 50th time at the Village Shopping Center!  Woot woot!  I went as a "Catarina" which is Wal-Mart's answer to a cat and ballerina.  Suits me!  Anna, as you can see...
Face makeup under the age of 5 = pointless.
If you click on the picture above, you can see Anna's saying, "Sheeeezzzz!"
Oh my god, I love her so much, she is so stinking rotten cute.
And we hooked up with our Peeps!  Barbie Bride Macki...
 And Cowboy Tucker!
 Sheeezzzz!
 Minnie Mallorie!
One of the shops was giving away ice cream instead of candy.  Daddy, get your hands OFF my LOOT!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, checking out my loot!  Not bad!
Help myself?  Don't mind if I do!
Happy Halloween for the 57th time!
Love,
Lilly and Anna
