Happy Birthday to ME!

I'm 3 months old TODAY!  How about that?  For the first time in my life Mommy is posting my monthly birthday update on time - and with pictures she actually took today!
Thursday nights Lilly goes to ballet class with Daddy (no, he doesn't also take ballet but that's a really funny image) - anyway I wanted to help Baby Jack with his pictures!
 Smile like this Baby Boots!
Ummmm, I think I just pooped a little bit...
It's okay Boots, I tooted, see?  I'll do it again!
Change my diaper!
 Awwww, Mawmy...

We named Polar Bear - Peanut Butter!  That's his name!  PB - cute, huh?
Not as cute as these babes though!
Bye bye Newborn Jack!  Hello Infancy!  Tomorrow I will be a Teenager.  I bet it feels that fast!

Happy Birthday Miss Soon To Be Aunt Nikki!

Happy Birthday, Miss Nikki!  We know you will appreciate this photo - since you love football and the Cleveland Browns so much!
In your honor for your birthday we are making a donation to Wives of the Diehard Cleveland Browns Football Season Support Group.
But we found out that group uses all donations towards trips to Florida, cruises and booze and we figure you've got all that covered.
So instead, in your honor we are making a donation to the ASPCA because we know how much you love doggies!  Your honorary gift will pay for 10 vaccinations for shelter doggies rescued from abuse.
Happy Birthday!
We love you Miss Nikki!

Sound of Silence...

It's not too often we all take naps anymore - at all.  Apparently at Mary Lou's we all nap at the same time every day.  Mary Lou swears she doesn't use a chemical substance on us to make this possible but Mama swears she must because how the honky tonk do you do that on a consistent basis?  By some miracle we actually all DID rest together and Mommy and Daddy got approximately 12 minutes of silence...

...but what is this?  Oh, JACK!  Of COURSE you are awake!

Could not be happier to be awake at this fine moment snuggled up next to his biggest Sissy.
*Insert your own caption here* - what a funny little face.
We hope you all had a great week.  Mama realizes it's been over a week since she posted but again with the wah, wah, wah we're busy.
Notably this week - a tornado touched down less than a 1/4 of a mile from the house!  Now THAT was scary!  You should see how many huge trees either fell down or were snapped like toothpicks.  We are so, so, so lucky that 1. we weren't home (Mommy was but the rest of us were gone) so 2. no one got hurt and 3. the tornado didn't actually touch down in our yard thus destroying our trees and roof.  Mama heard the winds got to be about 100 MPH.  That is INSANE!
So since we've lived in Louisville we've had: hurricane (yep, hurricane remnants blew through - ask Grammy and Grampa - Grampa about got clobbered with a big ol' tree limb from that storm), worst ice storm in history of Kentucky, one of the worst snow storms, torrential rain and floods, and a tornado!
On the plus side, it's going to be in the 50's all week.  We'll take that!

Jack's Stats - Only 2 1/2 Weeks Late

Forgive Mommy, she is so behind - turns out having 3 kids under the age of 5 and 2 full-time working parents is a bit busy!
Here's our little peanut - 2 months old!  All smiley and happy, but you know how hard it is to catch those elusive newborn smiles!  Mommy's heart just about bursts every time he busts one of these out.  He usually does this little thing when he smiles where he almost gasps for air, it's so cute, and so sweet!
Jack is 22.5 inches long now which is 90%!  At his 2 month check up he weighed 8 lbs 11 oz.  Mommy got so excited!  Picked him up and said, "Way to go buddy - you are getting so BIG!" Then nurse said, "Umm, that's 3%ile - maybe, not even, really."  Oh.  So Dr. says: "We need to watch his weight, he's not gaining enough weight, yada yada yada."  Not to be dismissive, but you'll recall we had this same thing with our Lilly (Anna, not a problem!) and we had to undergo tests for all sorts of horrible diseases and it was scary, scary, scary and it turns out - Mommy makes little, skinny babies.  That's her story, anyway.  Jack seems to be doing just great: he's hitting all of his milestones and he acts as happy as a baby should act.  He goes for a weight check in 2 weeks so we'll see if he's doing any better then...
Just to jog your memory here he is at 1 month (okay, not a good picture, admittedly...)
And born!
Watch me grow!

Congratulations Uncle Matt and Miss Nikki!

Congratulations Uncle Matt and Miss Nikki!  Uncle Matt FINALLY (!) popped the question while they were on a beach vacation this week!  How romantic!  Yay!!!  Another fabulous wedding!!  Another fabulous Aunt!!!  Don't worry - we have JUST the dresses - and wands, and crowns, and shoes, and boas, and necklaces, and bracelets, and rings, and nail polish! Daddy has been in the best mood. He keeps saying words like Vegas, booze, gambling, and a few I don't understand. I haven't heard him say anything about a wedding or marriage?

Give More Love

Happy late birthday, Babi!  We thought you were due your very own birthday post because you are so special to us!
Babi's birthday is the day after New Year's!  Which got Mommy to thinking some more about her New Year's resolutions - she actually has quite a few - and decided that our little corner of the web is a great way not only to keep herself accountable for them but to share with all of our "big" friends what we are doing to make our lives, our "world" and yours a little brighter and better this year!
So first up, Mommy got the idea from Grandma (thanks Grandma!) that a great way to show a little more love is to make a donation in a person's honor to a charity that makes someone else's world a little brighter!
This year on every of our "big" friends' birthdays we are going to be making a donation to a charity in your name that we think honors you and the things you love.
Babi, in your honor we are making a birthday donation to the VFW.  We think you know why! ;-)
Happy Birthday!!
Love,
Lilly, Anna and Jack

We Need a Little (More) Christmas!

Merry Christmas!  Santa hit our house first!  (You will see Jack is notably absent from most of these pictures...)
There is nothing better than the excitement of Christmas morning with young babes - tearing into presents and...
 Happy faces like this!
 And this!

 And this!

 And even this!
But the happiest face of all no one got on camera this year - was Mommy's!  Daddy gave Mommy the most beautiful, thoughtful and unexpected gift ever - a gorgeous ring!  Mommy loves it so, so, so much and she loves you, Dadddy - so, so, so much!
Thank you Santa, Grandma and Daddy for Christmas #1!
Pictures of Christmas #2 at a later date and time! ;-)
Love,
Lilly, Anna and Jack

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  We hope you all had a WONDERFUL holiday like we did!  Did you make any New Year's resolutions?  Want to hear Mommy's?
1. Mommy has cut dairy, carbs and sugar out for 2 weeks.  She is on Day 2.  Yesterday she did pretty good, she only had half of one cupcake and today only 3 chocolate chip cookies.  That is not a bad start.  She's doing this partly for herself, mostly for Jack.  Poor bugger has reflux, we hear this might help.
2. Mommy is following this blog: Clean Mama and following Clean Mama's easy, every day instructions which are laid out to help Mama find some rhyme and reason to this thing called House.  Let me tell you, having 1 kid is like a hobby, having 2 is kind of a bad joke but having 3?  We aren't messing around anymore.  This is serious, people.  If Mommy's not careful this house will eat us all...
3.  Mommy is going to send cards.  On time.  All kinds of cards: thank you's, birthdays, please will you send us money cards, etc.  Look for your card in the mail.
4.  Mommy is going to get her sexy back (see Resolution #1) and bust a move.  So far, so good.  She did the stair stepper today at the Y for 30 minutes.  One of the trainers asked her if she was having fun.  Fun?  Is a stair stepper supposed to be fun?  I'll tell you what's fun - eating cookies and sitting around the house all day.  THAT'S FUN!  Well, she's almost into all those jeans in her closet.  Almost.  Not quite.  Mommy did make the mistake today of not bothering to try on any of her work clothes before her first day back to work today.  Oops.  Sweats don't fly in the office.  Nor do faded holey jeans...  Hmmmm...leggings?  Probably shouldn't...shouldn't but Mommy loves to do things she knows she shouldn't do!  We settled for corduroys because they are stretchy and borderline office appropriate, and stretchy.
As mentioned, today was Mommy's first day back at work.  I got to stay home with Babi for no good reason at all except that yesterday I said my belly hurt and I wanted to stay home, but I got some good time in with Babi so it was well worth it.  Anna took Jack to Mary Lou's for the first time and Mama didn't even cry!  Know why?  Because she couldn't wait to get back to work!  HA!  That's only kind of a joke!  Seriously it's because we really, really love Mary Lou and Mama knows we are in very good hands when we are there.  We gave Mommy some extra special love and cuddles tonight, which were AWESOME!
We also did silly, because that's what we do!
And now we are settling into watching Michigan play in the Sugar Bowl with Babi and Duda.  So far it's not too pretty, but it's early so - GO BLUE!!!
Last but not least - HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY, BABI!!!!  Your card is in the mail.  (Just joking, you already got your card!)  We love you!
Love,
Lilly, Anna and Jack
