It's My Birfday!

And I had a party and for your viewing enjoyment Mommy has posted LOTS of pictures! Mama went ahead and sprung for the extra Blogger storage ($5 bucks a year, that's how much we love ya, dear Reader, all 25 of you) so now Mommy can post (in this case) 34 pictures at once!  Woo hoo!  More pictures, less talkin'!
The forecast called for lots of rain and cold, of course my day was sunny and beautiful but Mommy had a bunch of "indoor" activities planned including necklace makin'...
 Pizza eatin'...
 And eatin'...
And cheesin' (with my handsome Daddy)...
 Cookie decoratin'...

(Why yes, yes it is a changing table in the Dining Room.  That's how we roll, yo).
Cookie decoratin' involved lots of frosting eatin'!
 Beautiful cookie, Miss Emily!
Not too shabby if I do say so myself!
And oh, the next to best part of Birthday Parties! My beautiful cake, made by Mommy!  Yes!  MADE!  Decorated by my Sissy!
 Happy birthday to me!
 Happy birthday to ME!
Happy Birthday, Dear AnNA, Happy Birthday to ME!
Now gimme my cake Daddy and don't skrimp on the chocolate ice cream, either!
 Three of my biggest fans!
 Mmmmm!  Mmmmm!!

Oh, Baby!  The BEST part of a birthday party!!  PRESENTS!!!
Our wonderful, thoughtful friends even brought a little present for Lilly (note to Mama!  note to Mama!)  Wasn't that so nice?!  Look how happy she is!  It feels good to share the joy.

Opening presents is a team effort!
Uncle Mark and Miss Kimber, these pictures are for you.  As you can see I opened my new "blinkie"...
Loved on it a little bit...
 And a little bit more...
 And a little bit more!
Miss Mackinsey combed my hair with my new Princess comb.
LOVE my beautiful new dress from Grandma (that I put on RIGHT away)!
And then I gave EVERYBODY thank you hugs!
And I do mean everybody!  I'm a lover!

Family and friends make the best birthday parties in the whole world!
After hugs I took blinkie out and we enjoyed the rainy day!
Thank you "friends" for my wonderful party!  We love you all soooo much!
Love,
Anna and Lilly

Happy, Happy Day Sweet Anna Jane!

Oh, my Anna - has it been two years already?  How did it go so fast?!  How wonderful our lives became the day you came into this world.   You were like a piece of the puzzle we didn't even know was missing but you made our world beautiful, whole and perfect.  You are so sweet, so loving (so forgiving), sassy, opinionated, independent and free.  You give the world's best hugs and kisses (and kisses and kisses and kisses)  and I just love you so, so much.
You are the best little sister, the sweetest little girl.  I love watching you every day come into yourself more and more.  Of all the little blessings we have received in this world you are among the most precious and you are the most precious little girl to me.
Happy, happy birthday.
Now, I need to go buy your cake for your party in a few hours, and you are curled up here in my lap right now so I'm just going to enjoy this little snuggle time.
Happy birthday sweet Anna Jane.
I love you sooooooooooo soooooooooooo much.
Love,
Mommy

Tough Question...

Tonight in the car (before the Easter Bunny debacle below) I say to Daddy, I say:
"Daddy, do you like me the most?  Or, do you like me the best?"
Mommy and Daddy laugh and Daddy said, "I like you both, the most and the best."
To which I simply respond, "Good."
Good Lord, Lilly.
Love,
Lilly and Anna

Where the Hell is the Easter Bunny?!

Is THIS the Easter Bunny? Well, sort of...

He is not the REAL Easter Bunny, though, is he? No, he is not, Mama. All that fussin', all that making us wait until we GOT IN THE CAR to even put our dresses on - for what? For a STUFFED Easter Bunny.

Mommy said to hell with it, she lifted up the ropes and let us into Easter Bunny land to sit on the Easter Bunny's bench (sans Bunny) and fart around with the display. Mommy quietly triple dog dared anyone at the mall to try and stop her because here we are, in last season's clearance Strasburg dresses (but Strasburg nonetheless, dammit) on April freakin' 8th and Cheezits! NO EASTER BUNNY AT THE MALL!
Where's the Easter Bunny, Mommy?

Daddy, having a good laugh at Mommy's expense. What tipped us off that there was no Easter Bunny? Was it the fact that when we walked into the mall we were the only kids wearing dress clothes (save for the model wannabes walking the catwalk in this week's local talent search?) Was it the fact that, I don't know, it's April and everything and Easter is about 2 weeks away? That it's Friday night and what better night to trek the fam to the mall in their Sunday's finest?

Or maybe it was this sign?

Apple Picking at Skytop

Apple picking at Skytop has got to be one of my most favorite Fall family traditions.  It is so beautiful, it is so fun, and apples for w...
