Are Ya Strapped In?

Tonight we are leaving the Mexican place Daddy says:
"Lilly, are ya strapped in?" Check.  "Jack?" Check.  "Mommy?" Check.  "Anna Jane, you strapped in?"
"Yes, Daddy are YOU strapped in?"
Check.
"Are your acorns strapped in?"
"My acorns?"
"Yeah, you know, Daddy - your little nuts - are they strapped in?"
Bah ha ha!  Bah ha ha ha ha!!!!
Love,
Anna

My First Word...

Bah!
As in, "Bah bah!" (I am a bona fide Southern boy, so what may sound like, "Bah baaaah" to you Yankees is "Buh bye" to us!"
There, my first word.  Also handy when I want something:
"Bah!  BAAAAHHH!!!"
Or when I'm playing with my trucks:
"Baaaaaaaaaah!"  Known in some circles as, "Vroom."
So, yeah.  Again, the vocalization of genius.  I just can't be bothered with rudimentary words like "Mama" and "Dada" or you know, ANYTHING else.  I get what I want simply by screaming or throwing a tantrum, or for theatrics - BOTH!  Especially when with Mommy, Lilly and Anna in a crowded grocery store or even better - church.  I guess when you're the third baby, and you have two bigger sisters you really don't need to say a whole lot.  So here I am, 15 months old yesterday.
Bah!
But do you want to hear something really funny?  Leaving the hospital today an old fart on the elevator, wearing his Vietnam Vet mesh baseball cap, his leather bomber jacket, walking to his Buick parked in the handicapped spot (I mean, he was practically skipping y'all) he says to Daddy, "You got three pretty girls there!"  And Mama's all, "Thank you" and smilin' and blushin' a little and he looks at her like an alien just pooped on her head and says, "I was talking 'bout these babies!"  To which Mommy looks at me, decked out in my LITTLE BROTHER t-shirt, wearing a cargo coat and camo pants and says, "Well that there's my boy!"  And then she puffed her chest out a little and the man says, "That's a boy?!  With that long hair?  What is he?  A hippie?  You need to get her haircut!  She looks like a girl!"  "Well she's a boy, not a girl!" Mommy says and he says, "Coulda fooled me with that long hair!"
So apparently, I need a haircut - 'cause I look like a hippie?!  AND a girl???
Bah!
Love,
Jack

Proud of Daddy!

It might not be as sexy as the cover of New York Magazine (which will feature Daddy's cousin Kerry this Spring!) but we're still pretty darn proud of Daddy having the lead article in the December issue of the Journal of the Kentucky Medical Association!
Have a look-see:

C'mere, Daddy - I'm proud of ya!

Happy Birthday, Aunt Nikki!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AUNT NIKKI!  Last year you were still Miss Aunt Nikki - as of December it is official!  You are a M----- like the rest of us!  We love you!
Mama wanted to post some sweet pictures from your wedding.  We didn't take too many, we left that to your photographer (who obviously did a much better job than Mama!)  It was hard to wrastle 3 kids out of the sand and still take pictures.  We opted to enjoy the beautiful day and the beautiful ceremony.  It was a good decision!

Mommy thinks this picture is funny, because Uncle Sean is pouting that he had to take off his sunglasses.  He also refused to open his eyes even a little bit in objection to the glare.  Ha ha!
Look, Uncle Sean, squinting is easy!
Aunt Nikki you were really such a beautiful bride!
 Ta daaaa!
 And now, time to party!
We hope you party today, Aunt Nikki!  Happy birthday!  Eat some cake!!
Mommy and Daddy finalized our birthday present plan for 2013 just this morning!  Every month we have birthdays (which I think is like EVERY MONTH!) we are going to donate to Operation Smile to pay for a child in the world to have "smile surgery."  This is a great one, and we love it - and it's also to honor our friend, "Big" Miss Caroline who's Science Fair project is to see whether smiles are contagious?  We know hers is!  We know ours are, too!  So what better way to honor those we love than to plant another smile in the world - and maybe the seeds of smiles will stretch all the world over?
Happy Birthday!
Love,
Lilly, Anna and Jack

Cinderella's Royal Table

We are still on Disney Day 1 y'all!  Mama figures she could blog about Disney World all month, but then she'd be missing all the other things that have gone on in our world, like Jack's first word.  You know, little stuff, like that (ha ha - actually Mommy promises a 2nd post devoted just to Jack and his new word)...
No trip to Bibbidy Bobbidy Bootique would be complete without a trip to...
Cinderella's Castle!  The Castle!!!  THE CASTLE!!!!
Oh yeah, uh huh, that's gooooooddddd....

Oh Cinderella!  We love what you've done with the place and we love YOU!
This day (the FIRST DAY!) was the highlight of the trip for Mommy.  She got to take us girls, Tia Natalia, Sofi and Matias and we all got to dine like royalty at Cinderella's Royal Table (strongly recommend you make those reservations 180 days in advance.  Seriously, it's no joke - it fills up that fast because it is THAT awesome!)
 Huh?!?!?
Our princess parade began with Aurora.  Aurora used to be Anna's favorite Princess, she still kinda sorta is, depends on the day...  You can see in this picture who was MOST excited to see Aurora, though!  SOFI!!!  She even had on Aurora Pink!  Just like Aurora!
Snow White - we think Matias liked her the best...
 And Ariel!
My personal favorite!  I even had my Ariel "wedding" dress on!  I was really confused when Ariel asked me what kind of lovely dress I was wearing.  No, really - that happened.  Ariel said, "I LOVE your dress!  It's so beautiful!  It's even got seashells on it!  I've never seen a dress like that before!" I said, "Um, it's your wedding dress?"  I guess when you're a Princess you lose track of all your fabulous dresses!
Mommy can't stop laughing every time she looks at this picture!  We all had the Jasmine pose down!  But Matias!  Matias was NOT happy about something?!?
 Oh, Anna...
Doesn't her castle look beautiful around Christmas-time?
It was a long bus ride home.  We were beat!

But not TOO beat...because this is Daddy BEFORE...
Let me run a silly diversion for you while Lilly does her thing with Daddy...

And this is Daddy AFTER!  Doesn't he look just like a Princess?

Now we are two very tired, sleeping beauties...
Love,
Lilly, Anna and wait - where's Jack?

Bibbidi Bobbidi Reveal!

I can't say enough how much I love Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!  Even after you get princess-ized the fun isn't over - you get a real, princess photo shoot!  These are only a few of the 57 pictures we had taken!  So fun!

Matias had some fun of his own at the Pirate place!  Isn't it awesome?!??!
Love,
Lilly, Anna, Sofia and Matias

Apple Picking at Skytop

Apple picking at Skytop has got to be one of my most favorite Fall family traditions.  It is so beautiful, it is so fun, and apples for w...
