Adios Toofer!

Adios toofer!! I lost my first one yesterday! It has been loose FOREVER! Like FOR. EVER. I have another couple loose ones on the bottom too! So far my top two are pretty solid. Dang. I can't believe I'm losing teef. I can't believe how fast these babes are growing. Feels like yesterday I was blogging about eating peas for the first time or pooping on the couch. Now I'm almost finished with kindergarten. Y'all. It goes so fast. It is a beautiful, wondrous, messy ride this life.

Here is my toof progression throughout the day. Mama knew that sucker was coming out today so we documented it!
Little bit looser!
Hanging by a thread! We will spare the nasty pics. Truth be told the whole losing teeth thing kinda grosses mama out a little. It really grosses mama out when a kiddo loses their tooth and their mama goes and posts bloody pics on social media. Why why why???  Please people! That's what filters are for! Ain't no one wants to see that! But everyone loves to see a toofless smile (NO blood!)
Love,
Lilly, Anna Jane, and Jack
Ps My bangs are making a comeback!

Meatloaf

Mama made meatloaf, grits, and green beans for supper. Anna Jane said, "mama your cooking is good!"  Jack said, "NO! Your cooking is not good!" Then he rolled around and screamed on his chair for 20 minutes. Then he crawled in Mama's lap and gave her a big hug and got all lovey dovey and said, "Mama please I have cheese crackers?" Mama said he had to eat one bite of one thing on his plate. He steadfastly refused. For like, 20 more minutes until finally Anna Jane convinced him to eat one green bean. Then she got him to try grits by telling him he will die they are so good. Then she got him to eat his meatloaf by belching in his face. Team work y'all.

It's My Party!

I better never complain about my 6th birthday party FESTIVAL when I grow up.  Gah!  This was quite the extended celebration!  I went to Babyland General Hospital the week before Easter, I was at the beach the week before my birthday, I got this party thing...I got it going on, Sister!  6th birthdays are DA BOMB!  Y'all remember my BFF Lila Grace?  This is her, and my new friend Julia from school.
Isn't Charlotte adorable on the far right?  That's her sister Caroline and Lilly's BFF Erin!
These are my school friends Anderson, Harrison and Julia
And this is my friend Kylie from preschool.  We miss Kylie.

Look at this picture of me, and look at the picture of Duda above - do you see the dimples?  Duda Dimples!  Guess who else has them dimples?  I'll give you a clue - he's in a forthcoming picture!

Look how excited I was about this card.  OMG.  It has a CAT on it!
 Harrison!
Julia, Brooks and Nate.  Love Brooks.  LOVE HIM.  We are so much alike it's weeeeeeird.
If ou look real close you can see Uncle Mark has the Duda Dimple too!  CUTE!

 BFF's 4-EVA!
I bet you thought this was Lilly for a second!
Nope!  It's her BFF Erin!
And oh, yeah, I GOT to show you - Mama found a cookie lady who makes cookies of like, whatever you want.  So she had Chelsea cookies made for me because I said I didn't want cake.  I had cookies and ice cream.  Awesome.
Happiest, happy birthday Anna Banana Bear!  We love you so, so super much!
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Babyland General Trip!

For my "pre" birthday celebration, and an Easter egg hunt celebration, and the fulfillment of Mama's childhood dream we went to the birthplace of all Cabbage Patch kids - Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, Georgia with Teti!  Y'all - it's awesome.  You MUST go!  If you have ever even thought Cabbage Patch Kids are cute - you need to go.  It seriously puts American Girl Doll stores to shame.  It was an EXPERIENCE and we loved it!
 O.M.G - A LIFE SIZE CHELSEA!!!!  I DIE!  I DIE!!!
They had an EPIC Easter egg hunt!  30,000 eggs.  Yup.  30,000.  We had to divide and conquer.  I went with Mama, Jack went with Daddy and Lilly went with Teti.  We were grateful for the one on one (because it was CRAY CRAY!)

 SISTERS!  (It was cold!)
After the Easter egg hunt we checked Chelsea in to Babyland General.  She got her first check up in about 30 years.  (Wait, what?  You don't wear Derby hats out and about?)
The Doctor was quite impressed with her overall condition.  I did have to point out where Mommy did shoulder surgery on her very recently but otherwise she is in good health for a 30 year old doll.  He DID find a frog in her throat...
We got to watch the entire procedure from outside the window...
The Doctor told me he was able to remove the frog in her throat with a little Magicillin.  He prescribed ongoing TLC.  Not a problem, Doc.
Aftwerwards we watched Mama Tree have a baby.  A real Cabbage Patch Baby.  Mama didn't really get that photographed, but it was cute.  Nice photobomb, Lilly Bean!
After all that I got to pick out TWO NEW DOLLS!  The one on the far left is from Teti, and that's Chloe.  I named her.  And the one in the middle is Flower.  Rhymes with M-----.  I named her.
Lilly also picked a new doll and it's a baby doll, she named her Silly Sally.  Or, Silly Sara.  She goes back and forth.  Most importantly she LOVES this new doll.  LOVES her!
We stayed until Babyland General closed.  Then we went for pizza.  The cuteness!  The cuteness!
You gotta go!

Two Wheels!

I'm not sure how old most kids are when they attempt two wheels, but I'm Lilly Bean and I'm tentative.  I finally decided to give it a go today and I DID IT!
Mama still remembers when Duda sent her off on two wheels on her pink banana seat bike.  Maybe she was 6?  Maybe Duda remembers.  Mommy remembers the moment she realized Duda let go and she thought she could do this, she could do anything.  It's a special memory for a Daddy and his daughter. There's nothing quite like riding a bike for the first time, is there Lilly Bean?

Happy Birthday, Anna Jane!

Rise and Shine 6 years old!  Off to a great start this morning, heading off to donuts with Daddy!  It IS going to be a beautiful day in SC! The shirt you're wearing was Lilly's and it already looks like you're too big for it.  You've hit a growth spurt recently and you are getting even bigger and taller.  I can't pick you up without making a noise like this, "UNNNNGGHHH!" and you say to me, "Mommy, Daddy doesn't make noises when he picks me up, he just picks me up."  So I try to engage my core a little more and pick you up without noises but that's not easy when you're 48 lbs.  I feel like I'm picking up a teenager but dern it, you're my baby girl and I want to hold you as long as you'll let me!
Off to school for only a few hours and I brought you mini cupcakes (chocolate and vanilla!) and had lunch with your class.  They sang you Happy Birthday and we got one precious hour together before we had to go pick up the Jack Man from preschool.  Your teachers are the coolest.
What to do with only one hour?
How about get a pedicure?  Your first!  I think you liked it but there were moments you didn't really know what to think - I could tell.  The gals at the nail salon no speaka English too good and you thought that was funny.  I laughed because I'm inappropriate and you were getting a little flustered.  There was a Russian hair stylist there (I know, right?) and she said she would "do" your hair for free for your birthday...
She put in a tiny, random pink hair extension.  Which lasted about an hour, but you loved it.
Next stop Barnes & Noble for your birthday cupcake.  Chocolate.  Of course.
Mommy made you Selfie with Jack.  We took about 50 pictures.  All blurry.
We played with the books, the train table.  We left empty handed.  A miracle.  Next stop - pick up Lilly from school and then go enjoy this beautiful 84 degree day (!!! In April!!!) at the park.
Your favorite park.  The "big slide" park.
We were pretty hungry so we went home and played Uno until Daddy got home and then he took us out to dinner at the Whistle Stop Cafe.
You ordered Mac and Cheese and french fries.  Lemonade to drink.  We let you - 'cause it's your birthday.
 You took a toe selfie.
We were the only ones on the patio tonight because it was windy - REALLY windy!
We went home and opened presents from Grandma and Grammy & Grampa.  You got Grandma's in the mail 2 days ago.  Lilly wanted you to open it but you wanted to wait until your birthday.  Today when you talked to Babi and Uncle Mark & Aunt Kimber they all asked what you want for your birthday and you said, "I haven't decided yet!"
You opened the cards before you tore into the packages.  I thought that was so sweet.  I always used to rip into my gifts first!  Cards later!  This was your favorite card - because it's a silly cat!
And even though I always think there is no more Hello Kitty that you could possibly have - you get a Hello Kitty blanket and it's a new and immediate favorite.  You're in bed sleeping with it right now.
Your big sister is suddenly into photo bombing!
We ate ice cream.  Neapolitan.  You had chocolate.  We got ready for bed.  You read "Go Dog, Go!" to Daddy.  We tucked you in.  Wrapped you up like a mummy in your new Hello Kitty blanket.  Lay Chelsea next to you in bed.  When I know you're asleep I'm going to take your picture.
I know you won't remember today, Anna Jane.  I know you won't remember a lot of these precious little moments but when you are big, and grown, and a Mama and/or Rock Star like you say you want to be when you grow up, I hope you remember when you think about your childhood that you are precious and dearly, desperately loved by many people but by no one more than me (and Daddy, and Lilly, and Jack).
You are my sunshine, my moon, my stars, my everything.
Happy birthday.
I love you.
Love,
Mommy
