Our Daddy Date Night!

We promised these pictures to you three days ago but Mommy came down with a nasty cold, and now I have it.  Sigh...  We are sorry in advance, Ollie and Vivi - Mommy cleaned the whole house today with actual soap and stuff (and by soap we mean the good stuff - chemicals - like Lysol - with enough time to air out before you get here) and then tonight I came down with the runny nosey.  Dang it.  Fortunately for our blogging purposes however, we were healthy as could be for our wonderful date with Daddy last Friday!  I wore my mermaid best!
And I clowned around in my typical A.J. fashion!
Then I insisted on posing with Tigger.  For no discernible reason that Mommy can even make a joke about...
Then when Mommy said, "Please girls, a really nice picture of the two of you before your date?"  I flat refused.  Because I can.  Because I'm Anna.
Mommy finally coerced me to get Tigger out of the picture and here's what I had to say about that.
But wait?  Who's this handsome man with us?  It's - DADDY.  In a TUXEDO!

Jacky felt left out of the action so he came in for a shot.  He is such a Daddy's boy!  Sorry you can't come with us Jack but you're going to have a Mommy night!  And by Mommy night she means you are going to bed at 7:00 and she's going to watch "First Wives Club."  And that's exactly what she did.
Whilst WE got to eat at whatever restaurant we wanted to.  Naturally, we chose Chick Fil A.  That's right.  Daddy took us to Chick-Fil-A in our ballgowns and he in his tux.  Clearly we have not inherited Mommy's high maintenance.  CLEARLY she needs to do more work on us!
Then we went to the dance and boogey-ed the night away.  Daddy was so busy enjoying himself and his special time with us that he did not get any pictures for our blog but that's okay.  What's most important is that we got to spend a very special night with our Daddy and it's a night we'll remember and treasure!
Thanks Daddy for being our hot date for a night!
We love you!

Big Night Out With Daddy Prep Time!

This past Friday Daddy took us on a VERY special date.  Tomorrow we will post all about that but for tonight Mama wanted to share our Big Night Prep!  Thank you, Teti for helping us get all dolled up to feel special for our Daddy date!  It was so fun getting to wear some of Mommy's make up and gettin' our hair did!
The best part for me (Anna Jane) was testing Mommy's "long wearing lipstick..."
So you know, it lasted through 6 chicken nuggets, 52 Skittles and a chocolate milkshake - and several hundred kisses.  It's a winner!
Mommy tells us that we put more effort into date night with Daddy than she usually does!
Ha ha, nah - that's a total lie.  Y'all know Mama can't leave the house without her "face" on!
 Aren't we all beauties?
And for the final touch - the upside pony and double hair bow!  Glam-tastic!
Mommy would love to hear what some of y'all think about this - now that we're getting older and starting to ask questions that actually require thoughtful answers...
So you know our Babi rarely wears makeup?  Yet Mama literally (LITERALLY!) does not leave home without it!  How does that happen?!  So we ask Mommy, "Why do you wear makeup?"  And Mommy has to think about this - how does Mama answer this so that she's not implying that WE need makeup?  If Mama says it just makes her feel good - does that mean we're going to think you need makeup to feel good?  If Mama says it's because she's 29(5x) old and her skin's not as pretty as ours is without makeup - does that mean that we think women aren't pretty without makeup?  Is Mommy overthinking this?!?  What's the best way to instill a positive self image in us so that Mommy doesn't screw us up and cost us thousands of dollars in makeup and counseling down the road?!  HOW? HOW? HOW!?!?!?!
Seriously - how?
Can't wait to show you the big reveal!  We'll break it up to make your visits worth while!  Ha!

Farts in My Pants

I found my blue paci this week.  Rockin'.  I won't let Jack have it, it's MINE.  I am a rock star with my paci.  Can you believe I'm almost four years old?  I can't either.  I'm such a clown.  I say the funniest things, make the funniest faces, LOVE to make y'all laugh.  It's like, my thing.  Let me give you some examples...
Mommy: "Anna Jane, why do you keep changing your pants?!"
Me: "Because I farted, and I don't want farts in my pants."

Me, in an elevator: "Daddy, I have to pee.  I'm just going to pee in this corner."
Daddy: "AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Teti: "Anna, STOP being so DIFFICULT!"
Me: "Teti, what is my name?"
Teti: "Ummm...  Anna?"
Me: "Yes, Anna.  So stop calling me DIFFICULT."

Storytime With Garp

I like to read to Garpy at bedtime.  She makes a good audience.  Garpy is TEN YEARS OLD this Spring.  Do we know when her birthday is?  Do you really think Mama would be able to keep track of something like that?  Please?  Do you know Mommy at all?  She has a hard enough time keeping track of our birthdays.  Incidentally, MY birthday is in just a couple weeks and WHAT are we doing for my birthday, Mommy?  Hmmmmmm???????
Well it was about this time about 10 years ago, give or take that Garpy was born.  Then, sometime in May or June or July or something like that Daddy adopted Garpy from the humane society.  Mama thought this was an exercise in fake outs.  She did not want a cat.  AT ALL.  Daddy went with Mommy to the humane society so she could pick out a dog.  A black and tan cocker spaniel.  Who hated cats!  But Daddy found Garpy and Garpy he got.  Mommy did not get a dog.  Mommy STILL doesn't have a dog.  Mommy thought for sure Daddy was going to fake her out, "Just joking I'm not going to get a stupid cat."  WRONG.  Ten years, 152,766 piles of puke later, Garpy is still with us and she's my best friend!  Thanks, Daddy, for Garpy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLLIE!!

Dear Ollie - let me start by telling you a few things about Mommy, okay?  Contrary to what you might think, Mommy is not one of those "has it all together" Mommies.  Clearly, you would think that she does given her extensive planning skills and aptitude for writing thank you notes - but don't be deceived, dear Ollie.  She forgets things.  All.  The.  Time.  She usually eventually remembers, though and she might or might not do something to rectify her forgetfulness.  In this case, obviously, she forgot your birthday on Monday (don't feel too bad, she forgot Babi and Duda's anniversary too, even though Babi even texted her over the weekend what she and Duda got each other for the big day - she failed to make the connection).  This does not mean she doesn't love you.  She loves you BUNCHES and believe me when I tell you she is SO SORRY!  To make it up to you, we will Skype you tonight and buy you something off the internet OVER our birthday budget.  Sound good?  What Mommy lacks in follow through she makes up for by buying stuff.  We think it's a decent trade off.
How does it feel to be three?  Did you wake up with facial hair like your Papa's?  Like ours?  Did you have a rockin' party and keep the neighbors up until 2 in the morning like your Mama and Papa did 4 years ago?  Whatever you did, we hope it was great and fun.  We are really REALLY looking forward to seeing you in May!
We love you!  Happy belated birthday little booger!!!
Love,
Lilly, Anna and Jack

Happy Anniversary, Babi and Duda!!

Tardy - of course.  HAPPY 36TH ANNIVERSARY BABI AND DUDA!!!
Congratulations on 36 wonderful, happy, loving years together!  What an inspiration you are to Mommy and all of us.  Not only have you been married for 36 years, you have been HAPPILY married and are still one of the most "in love" couples we know.  Not a lot of people can say that these days!  We think it is awesome and look forward to your next 30 anniversaries together!  You will no doubt break a record somewhere.  Mommy feels so blessed to have been raised by two people who are so committed to making love work - no matter what.  You have been such a source of strength and inspiration to me and a true example of marriage as God intended.  I'm so glad my babies will have your example and lead to follow, too.  Thank you so very much.  I love you!  We all love you!
Love,
xoxo

Prayers for Caroline

Meet Caroline, we love her "this big."  Miss Caroline is our Sunday School teacher and our friend.   We have gotten to know Miss Caroline and her sweet family over the past few months and we are so fond of them.  Miss Caroline is in surgery today and we would ask that you please pray for her, her doctors, her Mommy and Daddy and her brother and sister.  It has been a long road for this sweet girl and she's got a lot in front of her but she's got a spirit and faith that you would not believe.  She is only 14 years old and she is wiser and stronger than a lot of grown ups we know.
We love you Miss Caroline!  We are all praying so hard for you!

Recycle Show!

Last week we had our biggest program of the year - our annual recycle show! (Yeah, no, we don't understand why either...we go to a Baptist preschool so you would think our biggest program would be Easter or Christmas but nope! Save the Earth, y'all!)
Here are some pictures of our show.
Have a great day and don't forget to reduce, reuse, recycle!
