Cutie Patooties!

Aren't we so CUTE?!? Of course, Mommy is partial but HEY! We are darling. We had a pretty decent weekend. The weather was not the greatest, we've been getting a lot of rain (today of course is beautiful - thank you, Monday).
We have got a real busy October coming up. In just a few short weeks Anna will be 6 MONTHS old and I will be TWO! Hard to believe that 20 is just around the corner and I'll be calling Daddy for money and he will give it to me because I'm spoiled.
Have a great week!
Love,
Lilly and Anna

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday Daddy!
We have the best Daddy! He plays with us, he gives us candy, and popsicles, he is always happy even when he's really, really tired. He teaches us how to sing the Notre Dame fight song, he teaches us how to walk like monkeys and he tickles us until we pee pee our pants.
We love you, Daddy! We are going to make this your best birthday EVER!

Bon Appetite...

Open wide, Anna! Here comes the CHOOOO-CHOOOOOOOOOOO...
That is how I feed Anna. Once or twice the choo-choo went a little too far into the tunnel, and that is when Daddy takes over. We are so lucky that Anna is such a forgiving child. We have nothing to worry about with her, she is so sweet, she eats good, she is smiley and lovey...
I on the other hand, do not eat so good. Mommy bought me some new clothes last week - size 18 months - and they fell off my goozitsa so she plunked me on the scale and sure enough I've actually LOST weight since my 18 month birthday. Most kids GROW. Mommy called the Dr and they told her not to worry, I'm still hovering over 5-10% which is where I've always been. Mommy still worries because that's what Mommies do. Mommy is especially worried because what am I going to wear when I am too tall for 18 month clothes but too skinny for 24 months - 2T?!?
I think Mommy is also going to try the Lilly diet. It goes like this:
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no!"
Throw food on floor or push away...
"Candy? Cookie? Milky? Popsicle? Hot Dog?"
Don't eat anything else. Ever.
Love,
Lilly

Think I need a haircut?

I helped Daddy paint some doors a few weeks ago. Mommy still hasn't downloaded any new pictures. She keeps forgetting the camera. Poor Anna is getting the shaft because in the past couple weeks she has: sat up by herself, eaten cereal for the first time (I've even gotten to feed her! "Open up, Anna!") and played "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" on the ukulele. Just kidding, she hasn't done that yet.
This week Mommy will get some pictures up. It has been a big couple of weeks for Anna. I can't believe she's almost SIX MONTHS OLD! We are almost out of the woods! Mommy felt like we were out of the woods when I turned six months old. Then a couple months later she got pregnant again. Well we plan on staying out in the sun for a little while this time. It is hard to keep up with two bitty wardrobes as well as her own - oh, and Daddy's too. It seems we're all "growing" these days. Ha ha. Well junk food season is upon us. First Birthday cake, then Halloween candy, then Thanksgiving dinner, and Christmas. This is the BEST time of year!

Holding Anna...

Mommy has soooo many pictures to upload...
I just thought I'd put some pictures up of me and Anna. She is sitting up by herself now (we have pictures - on the camera - that need to be uploaded!) I still like to hold her. I'll say, "Hold Anna?" Then I sit down with my legs out in front of me and Mommy or Daddy put her in my lap then I say, "Awwww..." then Mommy and Daddy laugh, then I say "All done" and I push her.

Lilly

ELMO!

Everyone's favorite four-letter word! I got the privilege of meeting Elmo in person a couple weeks ago. It was a little overwhelming. You would not believe how pushy other Mommies are (well, maybe you would but OY!) I just kinda hung back a little but once the music started...watch...out! Elmo and Lilly shook our money makers! Rock on, Elmo!

Labor Day - Only One Week Late

Oh NO! Judging by these pictures I'd say someone had a "case of the Mon-days!" We were in Nashville last week visiting Babi, Duda and we got to see Uncle Mark and Miss Kimberly, his girlfriend. I like Miss Kimberly, she plays with me and gives me kisses. And Uncle Mark is all right, he buys me Elmo toys. I don't like him to hold me, though. Not unless he gives me a cookie first or something.
Anna takes after Uncle Mark a little. She's got real dark hair like him. And just like Uncle Mark, if you don't wash her hair for a day it gets real greasy looking and separates. Poor Uncle Mark! Anna might outgrow that issue.
Next Monday I'll get pictures up of my weekend with the twins (or, maybe sooner...probably sooner!)
And how 'bout them Wolverines, yo!?! I'm pretty excited about this new team! Maybe sometime in my lifetime we'll beat OSU! So far, no dice. Michigan has never beat Ohio State as long as I've been alive!
As for our other teams, well, it wasn't the best weekend...but close! Close!
Love,
Lilly

Happy Birthday, Anna!

Anna is 5 months old today! She is going to get rice cereal tonight for the first time. Mmmm...I remember the first time I had rice cereal I didn't poop for over 5 days! I hope Anna doesn't have the same problem. It's quite uncomfortable! She is almost sitting up on her own and she can roll over from her tummy to her back. We've tried to get that on camera but every time we bring it out she just sits and smiles at us. She's so sweet and cute.
This is a picture of me pretending to make Anna a cake. It's actually a batch of brownies we cooked up for the heck of it last week. I like to help Mommy out in the kitchen when I can. If it involves mixing, stirring and licking a chocolate spoon. I'm quite good at it.
I'm also getting quite good at mimicking people, especially Mommy. I repeat every sentence. Every. Sentence. Mommy has had to revise her trucker vocabulary. She should anyway, it's not very ladylike to speak the way she does. She's working on being more ladylike. After all, she IS 31 again. So she should start acting like it.
Me, I'm going to keep acting like the almost 2-year old that I am!
Love,
Lilly

Happy Birthday To Mama!

Happy Birthday to Mommy! Happy Birthday to Mommy! Happy birthday to my Mommmm-meeee! Happy Birthday to Mommy!

For Mommy's birthday we both slept all night and slept in so Mommy could get ready for work in peace and quiet. Then Mommy woke Anna up and Anna was all sweet sugar and smiles. Then I woke up and I had the mother of all temper tantrums that lasted from the moment I went downstairs to the moment Mommy pulled into Ms MaryLou's driveway. That made Mommy feel real good about leaving me with someone else.

Maybe tonight Mommy will go buy herself a cake and I'll get to eat it!

Lilly
