Waiting on Pictures...

Merry Christmas!  This year Santa decided to do things a little different...since the girls get FOUR Christmases this year Santa decided to do one really big gift (literally) and just a few smaller ones for each of us.  This picture does our big gift no justice, as my head only comes to the top of the fourth floor!

It was a magical morning.  I got a new camera, and Mommy and Daddy took the memory card from their camera to put into mine.  I proceeded to take about 1000 pictures.  Now, ask where the camera is?  GOOD QUESTION!  It holds all of our Christmas morning photos, and we're thinking it might turn up sometime around Valentine's Day.
Round 1 of Christmas photos is shot, Round 2 on its way in one short week!

Waiting on Santa...

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, however fun it is to pull your ornaments off and slam them on the floor so they shatter...

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, just put some presents underneath so I can open them.
All I want for Christmas is my own damn toys.

 Sheeeeezzzz!!!

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout Anna or I will take all your damn toys.  Oh wait, I already do that.  Santa Baby, buy Anna some extra toys for me this year, wouldja?
 Sheeezzzz!!!
Santa comes down the chimney!  The CHIMNEY! CHIMNEY!!!
 You better not cry...
Go ahead and ham it up for the camera.  Mmmm, ham!  Like Christmas ham, yo!  Honeybaked!  Honey Ham Uncle Dan!  That's for you, brotha!
'Twas the night before Christmas in the M------ house, Santa Claus is comin' to town early!  We get to celebrate our first of our four grand celebrations TOMORROW!!!  And we are going to go CRA.ZAY!

Princess, Princess, Princess, Etc.

Mommy took us to another Princess tea a couple weeks ago, you know, we can't get enough of these dresses.  What a SMART investment, Mommy!  This Princess tea was fun, we got to decorate cookies, eat cupcakes, make crowns, and MOST IMPORTANTLY -
We got to hang with Cinde-grella!  Isn't she beautiful!  Kinda looks like me, no?
Num num num num num, cupcakes...
This is our friend Rachel and one of her 4 kids under the age of 4.  That's right, I said, 4 KIDS. UNDER. THE. AGE. OF 4.  Sheer craziness.
Oh my God, look at my ears, look how cute I am.

What a fun Mommy/Daughter day together.  Okay, so by now you all get it.  I love Princesses, and Anna loves food.  We'll try to venture into newsworthy blogging territory next post.
Love,
Lilly and Anna
P.S. Good luck on your final tomorrow, Teti.  Love you.

Hey! Where Did Thanksgiving Go?!

Here are some Thanksgiving pictures.  Yeah, yeah, yeah...at least we're still in the holiday "season"!
We are so excited for Christmas!  Christmas!  CHRISTMAS!!!!

While Mommy cooked, Teti painted our toenails.  Anna still had her tights on, as you can see, don't worry, we took them off and painted our toesies and our fingies.  Then, we ate all the fingernail polish off our fingies.  Then, Daddy said fingernail polish is "toxic" and we shouldn't wear it.  Pshaw!  Toxic.  Puh-leeeese, Daddy!  If fingernail polish was toxic Mommy would be dead.
Mommy cooked her first big Thanksgiving dinner.  Don't you hate the color of the dining room?  What color should Mommy paint it?  Will someone with some eye for style please come to the house and fix that room (TETI)!?!?  Right now you feel like you're a plant in a giant terra cotta pot when you're in that room.
This is pretty much how Uncle Matt spent Thanksgiving.  Gambling online.  This picture must have been taken after a good play, because he looks happy.
Here is the start of Mommy's spread.  We got nekkid for dinner, naturally.  Look at my hands over my eyes.
 Here was our menu:
Butternut Squash soup
Wheat Berry Salad
Alton Brown's No Fail Turkey (cooked in a bag, for extra protection)
Sandra Lee's Haricots Verts
Cranberry Glazed Carrots
Stuffing
Duda's Sweet Potato Casserole
Paula Deen's Cranberry Compote (because it's just not a meal without something by Paula!)
Rolls (the only thing Mommy screwed up)
And two nekkid babies...

And one very classily dressed Daddy.

And, a nap!
In February Mommy will post our Christmas pictures!
Ha!  Joking, joking.
Love,
Lilly and Anna
P.S. you done shoppin yet?!?!

We Like Pretty Sparkly Things. In Excess.

Hello?  Joe, Joe Daddy?  Who do I look exactly like?!  Just slap some blonde hair and earrings on my Daddy and here's his picture at 3 years old!  Ha ha ha!  As you can see, we get much use out of these Princess Dresses Mommy bought us.  In fact, if they cost $50 (ahem, cough cough) and we have worn them 3,250 times that is equivalent to 1.5 cents per wear which at the current rate of inflation from the time that Mommy bought the dresses to now the "actual" cost of wear is .75 cents which is 400% cheaper than the cheapest t-shirt we own which we wear an average of 30 times so in a nutshell, Mommy actually SAVED money by buying us these dresses because they are cheaper than free when you think about how much we wear them and how much regular clothing in it's place would have cost.  You can thank her later, Daddy.

And, Daddy, since we're girls and you can clearly see we are so enamored with shiny, pretty things, Mommy suggests you start buying her nice jewelry now.  In the current economy the bulk vs. wholesale cost of platinum and gold is exponentially lower than it will be in 20 years when we will be asking you to buy it for us, but you can go ahead and buy it for Mommy now, and she can pass it along to us in 20 years at which point you can buy her new stuff to replace the empty slots in her jewelry box.  You will actually save more money by doing this, because if you were to invest the same money in a savings account earning a paltry 1% interest rate compounded in 20 years it will still be less than the value of jewelry you buy her now that she can pass along to us which will be valued at = Priceless.  Because it came from you.  Hurry up, Daddy, you are losing money just reading this!

This message brought to you, Daddy, by Santa's bejeweled little elves.

Work To Do!

Daddy's got lots of work to do this month, mainly at work.  This is his last rotation on PICU, which is by far one of the hardest, saddest jobs EVER.  Mommy doesn't know how Daddy does it, or how the people who do it for a living do it, but we thank God for people like them.  Mommy gets emotional just thinking about it.  We know it's hard Daddy, but it's sooooo worth it because what you do makes a big difference and can change a kid's life for the better forever.  Mommy on the other hand, she sells stuff.  Meh.  We can't all be in it for the love.
When you are home, Daddy, we'll take care of you and help you as much as we can.
We know this is a busy month for EVERYbody - but what a GREAT month it is!  Santa is going to come this month!  Santa is going to come to our house on December 15 because that is the only day Daddy has off from work until December 29.  Mommy and Daddy think it's really important that we have Christmas as a family at our house.  I mean, Santa can't keep up with as many places as we have to go.  We have it so good, we get FOUR CHRISTMASES EVERY YEAR!  Can you imagine?!?!  It is so, so awesome and we are so, so excited!!
Mommy and Daddy did take out all the Christmas decorations including our Nativity scene.  Mommy tried to tell us the story about Baby Jesus by staging it with the Nativity.  Well, I am 3 and Anna is 1.  We don't quite "get" it yet.  But I did ask Mommy if Santa brings Baby Jesus presents.  And based on the fact he's quite nekkid in the manger, I suggested he could use a Blanket.  Mommy said she'd send Santa a note.
Tomorrow is Papa's birthday.  He's 86!  Papa is one of the most special people in our lives, ever.  Mommy loves him so much.  When you read this, give him a silent shout out.  Send him some good karma.  He's living his birthday up at his favorite place - the casino!  Send him some luck!  If he gets lucky, we all get lucky!  Tee hee!
Love,
Lilly and Anna
