It was a very long year of dance. I'm not gonna lie. Every Thursday at 3:00 PM I would start whining and crying about how much I hate dance because Mean Ms. Melanie MAKES US DO SPLITS. It wasn't until about February (after Mama had paid the dern recital fee and costume deposit) that I finally stopped complaining (because Mama threatened to throw Big Dog in front of a truck if I didn't can it). No, really, she would never hurt Big Dog but boy did her ass get tired listening to me cry. So recital was kind of like reaching the finish line of a marathon minus the glory.
This is Whitney, my sweet little dance partner. We carpooled together this year so her Mama got to listen to me complain every other week. And every other week when it was my Mama's turn to drive little Whitney would say, "Mrs. Kristen, can we get ice cream? Mrs. Kristen, can we get Chick-Fil-A? Mrs. Kristen, I'm hungry."
Also interesting to note, Whit's birthday is in April just like Anna Jane's though she is a year older - but AJ overtook her this year in stature! Whitney was handing clothes down to Anna Jane! Not no more!
We've got about 25 pictures of Anna Jane posing backstage. She LOVED recital. LOVED it and did a great job! She also almost never complained about going to dance this year - maybe she'll do it again???
Are these girls the arm pop rock masters, or what?
Anna Jane is a natural at the arm pop. It's so CUTE.
She even got her little friend Livia to do it, too!
Thanks for a great year, Ms. Melanie! It was fun!
Check out our dances, too!
(Lilly's is really blurry, unfortunately!)
Love,
Lilly, Anna Jane, and Jack
